Rugby Roundup
Finn's rugby team have been up against some tough opposition lately in various matches. They are generally playing 10 or 11 a side, and starting to show some flair - now and then!

Paddy's Day anti-parade adventures
We had a great ramble up through Ticknock Forest in the Dublin mountains yesterday with a gang of friends as an alternative to the mayhem in town for the St Patrick's day parade (estimates of 300,000 to 500,000 people were being thrown about). We had 14 kids, 13 adults and 3 dogs all up and we did an easy ramble up to Fairy Castle where we surveyed the realm below us and feasted on appropriately green, white and orange coloured snacks while being buffeted by a chilly breeze. Lovely way to spend a few hours with good friends.

Ireland's future
As part of the centenary celebrations of the 1916 Easter Rising currently in full swing, the kids school marked Proclamation Day on 15 March (as did all schools across Ireland) with a flag raising and various other commemorations of the events of 100 years ago.
The children were asked to create their own proclamations over the last week, with ideas on their vision of Ireland as we head into the second century as an independent state.
Finn was one of a handful of kids chosen to read their Proclamations - a proud moment indeed.

Snowy goodness
We finally got some snow for winter - in Spring! Just a dusting, but better than nothing at all. It's always so pretty when it does snow.
